The afghan is progressing maybe I will post another picture of my progress tomorrow its to late and I am to tired to do it tonight. While watching the news I see that Asheboro made the news flooding K&W and I think Old Liberty Rd. I discovered I need a roof I have a leak.

Another day of crochet

I have add a few more rows to the afghan I am making for my grandmother. It is a slow process. Also I must visit Crochetville, I love to go there and look at all the post of new projects. Some very good crocheter belong to that forum. Oh Oh Oh the money to buy yarn. I think I will need to get a second job for the upkeep of my yarn supply. Thinking of another project already a nice ripple pattern the I choice Majestic from 40 Favorite Ripple Afghans from Leisure Arts. If had a better camera I would take a picture of the afghans so you could see what it looks like. This is my garden very proud of it so far so good thinsgs a blooming and I can see some very tiny tomatoes forming also started an herb garden, Rosemary, Thyme, Basil and Sage.

Well I have made it through another workday. I am proud of making it over humpday. I have not crocheted today. I came home today and did a little work in the garden. I plan to post a picture of the garden one day this week. On Monday I did something that I have never done before I went to the public hearing in Randolph Co. On the new budget. I was surprised so few people attended this meeting, yes I have just said that I attended for the first time this week. I have lived in Randolph Co. For 19 years and it was my first but it will not be my last. I have finally decided that since I am paying taxes here I should know what's going on in the Co. Okay this is the part that I have to confess my disgust with my self and my shame. I didn't get up and speak. One woman got up to state that she opposed the tax increase and the 5% pay raise for the Co. Employee's, her suggestion was that if our trained Police Officer wanted to make more money they should just go to another Co. Because the citizens of Randolph Co. Couldn't take and didn't want a tax increase. I should have said something stated that I was for the budget because the Commissioners did ask if anyone was for the budget and I just sat in my seat afraid to speak. I pay both City and Co. taxes and I understand the desire for taxes to stay the same but unfortunley some things have to change. I do feel that Co. employee's should get a raise, we dont need to lose any more good employee's to other Counties. If you look at the big picture a lot of money is spent by this Co. to train Co worker and all that training goes to waste if they take that knowledge to another Co. I am sure each and every employee is thankful they have a job to go to since so many people have lost jobs in this Co. even so they still need to earn the fair market value for the jobs they preform. Next year I must pluck up and speak up. On to anohter subject I will try and post a picture of my cat. Work with me please still trying to learn how to take a good picture, my house is old had dark paneling and this was the best I could do.

Finally it has happened I have pictures

I have some pictures they are not great pictures, but they are pictures. I used a web cam no didgital camera yet. My first big projects one baby blanket for my daughter to give to her brothers new baby and a cover for and ugly chair in my house. I know it is not very organized but it took a long time for me to figure out how to get a picture on the page. I hope to improve with time an maybe one day a new digital camera. I noticed on my last posting I had comments. I tried to write back but for some reason reason I was not allowed to post. I will try to avoid caps I didnot know caps are hard to read. I just like caps. I didnot know so many people in Randolph had blogs I find all the blogs interesting. I want to try and post on a regular bases from now on. I have a new afghan started one for my grandmother. I hope I can get the picture to post. I would like to make my blog a little more interesting but it takes so long for me to figure out how to add things to the page. I want a better back ground but I cant figure it out. Help would be greatly appreciated.
