World Wide Knit In Public Day

Today is World Wide Knit In Public Day. So in honor of the day I spent part of the day at Four Seasons Mall in Greensboro knitting in public. We meet at the Central Fountain and knit. I was a little disappointed in the turn out I thought more people would show up for the event. I think maybe 20 people participated. I sat for awhile and knit off to the side of some of the knitter's. I am somewhat shy when it comes to meeting people. After a few people left I sat next to a very nice woman and since I did not write down her name I don't remember it of course. I am a little slow on the up take. After a few other ladies left one woman and her husband were left and the joined us and we knit and talked the woman's husband did I think needle point. A very nice couple they live in Burlington but they are moving to Greensboro in a few weeks. They had never heard of Asheboro which is not surprising to me since Asheboro is a dull and boring place to live and does not offer to many reason to visit. I spent my time knitting another dishcloth, one lady was knitting socks and another a head shawl for charity. I Hate I forgot their names and did not write them down. Well we left at 2:00 spent some time walking around the Mall and brought 2 candles at the Yankee Candle Shop they are having their semi annual sale and I brought 2 candles (fresh cut roses) I have 1 lite and it smells so good. It is hot hot hot and no rain so far today. I guess I will need to water my garden tomorrow if it does not rain tonight.
