What happen to the Weekend?

Well once again it is Sunday evening and of course it's work tomorrow. I have spent the weekend knitting Grandmother's Favorite dishcloth's and listening to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on cd, and visiting a few of my favorite site's on the Internet. So nothing much has gone on this weekend. One day I will win the lottery and my weekend's will get better.

Flea Battle

It is hot and I am tired. I have a big battle against flea's going on at this time. My poor little kitties have fleas. I have given fleas bath's, flea treatment's and Brewers yeast. The fleas are still taking over. I plan to give both cat's bath's tomorrow after work if we don't have another storm!. I need to clean and spray the garage and all around the house. That will have to wait until payday! Still reading Skein of the Crime, by Maggie Sefton and I ordered a new knit themed book from books-a-million Knit in Comfort, by Isabella Sharpe. Cast on and knit a Grandmother's Favorite Dishcloth. Only a few minute's to go and I will watch Big Brother. So happy that tomorrow is Friday and the weekend is almost here. You have heard this before but this weekend I plan to dedicate my self to finishing my year and some month's sock.

My Saturday Blue's

I have to admit that I have not enjoyed my Saturday. I slept late got up and my Mother wanted to go to the grocery store, I did not but went anyway and then I had to take my Mother and my Niece to Chuckie N Cheese for my cousin's birthday meet my daughter with a GRE book and dog kennel. When I am broke I don't like to travel or do anything. I could stay in the house and not step out of the door. I paid a visit to Books a Million yesterday and they did not have the book I wanted so I had to order the book. I continued to knit another Feather and Fan Dishcloth today and finished it , then cast on a Grandmother's Favorite. I tried to get a good picture of a humming bird moth and a butterfly. Since my camera is not the best and does not capture good picture's of moving object the picture's are not the best in the world but I will post the picture's anyway. Butterflies and hummingbird moth's are not the best model's. I enjoyed a few good hours in the house by myself today and really need more hour's alone. Oh well such is my life and I should get use to my dull life tiresome life.

So ready for the weekend!

Another long week. Two day's left until the weekend. It is hot and I am tired. Last night I finished the dishcloths I have been working for my Aunt's friend. Still trying to read Skein of the Crime I keep falling asleep while reading. It is not because the book is boring, I think I should decrease my wine intake if I want to stay up at night and read. I cast on another Feather and Fan dishcloth during my lunch break today. I am not sure what I did with my grandmother's favorite pattern. I need to look for it tonight. I am posting a picture of the dishcloth's I am sending my Aunt's friend. I received a magazine from Costco today and found a new knit themed book I want to read Knit in Comfort, by Isabel Sharpe. My local Books a Million might have the book in stock. I need to call tonight to see if the have the book. Posting a picture of the dishcloth's I knit for my Aunt's friend.

The Heat Is On!!!

I am not sure about any other place but the heat is on here in North Carolina. It is Hot Hot Hot! At one time today I thought we would get some rain and a storm because I could hear thunder but the storm past us by. I really need to go out into the garden tomorrow and water the peas if it does not rain over night. I spent the day watching home improvement and cooking shows. I started another dishcloth for my Aunt's friend and it is coming along really well, I am trying hard not to get depressed because I can't afford to take this month's scarf workshop at Common Thread's, I am so tired of living hand to mouth. Next month Common Thread's plans to offer another scarf workshop and I plan to take it. In order to take the class I plan not to go out for lunch and that will save maybe $10.00 I don't go out to eat at lunch time that much. If I get up early next Saturday I can take the cans I have been collecting to the recycling center. Maybe I will have enough money for the class and the yarn. I am posting a picture of the dishcloth I received from the Raverly group dishcloths r us swap partner. Knittergoddss sent a very pretty dishcloth and postcard.

Monday Update

Monday's are hard and exhausting. I wish we could skip Monday. It was a long and busy day at work. I am thankful to have a long busy day at work, if I did not I would not have a home or what little food I can afford to buy. I had a great weekend spent the weekend furbaby sitting and listening to Eclipse , New Moon, and Breaking Dawn on cd. The knitting and crochet front did not get to much of my attention. Puppies are likes babies you have to try your best to keep up with them because the love to put everything in their mouths. Every time I looked around Cece was chewing something. This was after I swept the floor and looked around the floor for items that could be eaten on the floor. I did however manage to cast off a Feather and Fan Dishcloth. So this means only two more dishcloths to go and I will have 6 cloths done for my Aunt's friend. I am very upset with myself because I made an impulse buy on Saturday I brought New Moon on cd and I am listening to the cd at this time. I love books on cd they are very relaxing. No exercise today I think it as been almost a month since I have been at the gym and I won't make it tomorrow either my because I plan to put chicken on the grill for my self and my mother. I am trying to keep her from doing to many things after her surgery. This Friday makes 4 weeks since she had her surgery. She plans to go to her Sister's on Wednesday so I will try to make myself go workout on Wednesday and Thursday.

It's Friday eve and I am furgrandbaby sitting for the weekend. My daughter plans to help her boyfriend move this weekend so I am babysitting her puppy. She is such a cute girl. She is sitting in my lap while I blog and listen to New Moon on cd. It is very relaxing. I mailed my dishcloth to my swap partner today. I have a Feather and Fan dishcloth started for my Aunts friend half way finished. This is the weekend I plan to spend with my unfinished sock. I have the house to myself except for the cats and Cece.

A Long Week Ahead

Well the new work week starts tomorrow and I will need to make it through 5 days. No knitting today. I started a feather and fan dishcloth 3 times this weekend and ripped it out 3 times. Still reading Skein of the Crime, by Maggie Sefton. I also read Katie's Redemption, by Patricia Davids. I need to cast on a dishcloth tonight maybe I am not sure. Finishing my sock should be a priority. So tomorrow my plan is to finish the gusset. This time I will keep up and make sure I add my knit row. Common Threads has some great workshops for the summer. Making myself get back into a workout routine has been very hard. I need to start again and I don't want too. Watched New Moon and Harry Potter this weekend. I finished my swap partners dishcloth and plan to mail it off on Thursday. Cece she is such a big girl now.

Busy Bees!

Do you see the busy bees! it would be very nice to say that I have been as busy as the Bees! It goes with out saying that the Bees completed their tasks for the day. This does not appear to be true for me and my projects. Spent time reading and knitting this weekend a long weekend did some work on my bedroom, but it was not enough. I finished a dishcloth that I had planned to give to my Aunt's friend but the bind off was messy and I am not sure when I weave the ends if I can fix the messy bind off so this dishcloth will stay with me. I did finish another dishcloth for my dishcloths r US swap partner only need to weave the ends. My Aunt Patricia brought a pretty bag today when she picked up my Mother I will use it for a new knitting project. The knit clinic on Friday really went well and the screw up on the long awaited sock was fixed and the sock is back on track. On day in the not to distant future I will be able to visit Gate City Yarns this is a self imposed exile. Still reading Skein of the Crime, by Maggie Sefton. Common Threads yarn shop has lots of exciting workshops set for the summer. I hope I can attend some of them, I set reminders for the work shops and I really would love to attend this month and next month's scarf of the month workshops. Posting a picture of a very busy bee visiting the Phlox around my deck!

Independence Day!

It's the fourth of July and we really enjoyed the day. We watched old movies on TMC, put ribs, steak, chicken, and corn on the grill. Then we drove to Archdale to see fireworks. The city I live in did not have fireworks and they have not for the last few years. Asheboro is such a dull city. One day when I Win the lottery I will be able to leave move to a better city. So no reading knitting or crochet today. We have enough food left so no cooking tomorrow. No work tomorrow and I have a vacation day on Tuesday so I am so happy only three days of work next week. Happy Birthday to the USA!

The Last Day Of The Month

Well I am sitting here with only a few hours left in the month of June. When you have no other choice than to work 40 hours per week time just runs together. I am thankful for my job and if I did not have it I would be homeless. My only wish is to win the lottery and not have to work or win it and not have to work living hand to mouth. What that means is it would be nice to pay the bills and have a little money left over at the end of the payday. Cast off the second Grandmother's Favorite Dishcloth and cast on the third. So this weekend I will cast on Feather and Fan Dishcloth and try to knit three before I have to return to work on Wednesday. Tomorrow at 12:00 I will be off work until Wednesday of next week. On Friday I plan to meet my friend for lunch and then off to the knit and crochet Dr for sock help. I am determined to finish the socks I started last year and start a new pair. I am reading Skein of the Crime, by Maggie Sefton. So far a good read. I love a good cozy murder mystery. So cute and sweet.

Another Long Day.

Well my day started almost as early today as it did on Friday. I got up and took my daughter's puppy out feed her and tried to take her out again. Then I made my way to my Aunt's house so all of us could go back to the hospital to see my Mother. She was released from the hospital but it took all day. She did not find out she could leave until around 2:00. So we did not get her to my Aunt's house until after 4: 00 it took them awhile to get the paperwork together. She will spend two nights at my Aunt's house because she has to go back to the hospital on Monday and both me and my Sister have to work. It looks like for the next few weeks I will do the cooking. So I am not sure how much time I will have for the gym. So I am sure it will be like starting over again with kettlebell class since I have missed the last two classes. My daughter picked up Cece today and I really miss the little furbaby! I am posting a picture of the dishcloth and postcard I received from my June swap partner on Ravelry, it is with the dishclothsrus group I belong too. Smorancie was my June swap partner. I plan to take my knitting with me when I visit my Mother tomorrow.

A Very Long Day

My Mother had to have surgery today, she's fine the surgery went well. The day was long because we had to be at the hospital by 6:45am and my Mother did not get taken into surgery until around 1:00pm it seems the Dr had an emergency. So it was after 4:00 before she was out of recovery and in her room. I hope she will be able to come home tomorrow. I did get a chance to read and knit a Grandmother's Favorite Dishcloth while we waited. I think I could have finished more than one if I had knit the whole time and not read some of the book I brought with me. Still puppy sitting my daughter was on vacation all week and tomorrow she in a wedding of her best friend. My Aunt's friend liked the dishcloths I knit for my cousin when he brought his house and so I started today knitting some for her . I plan to knit a few Grandmother's Favorites and few Feather and Fan Dishcloths. I think 3 of each. I am not sure if I will get the chance to workout in the next couple of weeks, I don't want my Mother trying to cook until she recuperates from her surgery. Posting a picture of cuteness itself.

Summer Solstice!

The first day of Summer and the longest day of the year! The weekend was great! I did not knit or Crochet but I have been reading. I am doing a re read at this time, I am reading The confession by Beverly Lewis it is the second book in The Heritage Of Lanncaster County. I managed to get a skein of cotton yarn in a tangle and enlisted my Niece to detangle the skein! I have my dishcloth ready to send my swap partner. I hope to get in an hour or two of knitting time of friend. My Mother has to have surgery on Friday and I hope knitting will help the time pass quickly. My copy of Maggie Sefton's latest in the knitting series Skein of the Crime came in this week to Books-a-million. Flower's from my yard. A daisy and black-eyed Susan.

I want to pull it out of my yarn but before I do this I want to make sure it is not poisonous! Then I am posting a very good picture of my Sweet One Hundred Tomato Plant that is on my deck this is the best year yet for my sweet One Hundred! Lot's of little tomato's on this plant and also blooms.

Still Planting!

Today after work I planted my Basil and a Petite bell pepper. Last night I added a few rows to the Beth's Little Star Afghan. I am really not to sure about the colors. Did not make it to the gym. Tomorrow it kettle bells again. I want build up to two days per week with the kettlebells. We shall see if I can move around after tomorrow night's session. Hell's Kitchen on tonight, it is my first time watching the new season. How it is on to One Big Happy Family. I love the show. I is the story of a family of 4 and at the start of the show all of them weighed over 300 pounds. This season you can really see the progress they have made trying to lose the weight. This is a show on TLC if you have the channel check it out.

My Weekend Almost Over

Well the weekend has drawn to a close. It is Sunday night I am watching the new season of The Next FoodNetwork Star. I added a few rows to the Beth's Little Star Afghan. Spent some of Saturday buying plants and potting soil. Then went to my cousin Meaghan Ayala's dance recital she did a great job and so did the other dancers, but it was a long program. Today I planted a few petunia's in hanging baskets. So far no knitting or crochet. I am waiting to hear from my dishcloth swap partner on what colors she likes before I start her dishcloth. I hope to hear from her soon.

Bad News On My Sock Progess

Well I have been working on the gusset and I just realized today that somewhere along the way, I forgot to add my knit round. I continued the sock working only the decreasing round. So this is such a big screw up! I don't think I will ever get this pair of sock done. I really want to get this sock thing down! I brought another skein of sock yarn and really would like to continue! So I am determine not to give up ! I need another rescue me session. I think I need to make a trip to High Point this weekend. I know the sock needs ripping back so I can start the gusset over again, but I am not brave enough to do this all by myself. My crochet project is going better it is another Beth's Little Star Afghan. It is for my cousin's new baby due in August. I am not so sure on the color but I can't show until after the baby shower. I really need to spend a lot of time crocheting during the next week. The baby shower is next Saturday. I finally participated in a kettlebells class at the gym and I can really fell it! The class involves lots of squats!, and handling a weight. My weight was only 4 pounds. So now I realize just walking the treadmill, doing the elliptical, and the bike is not enough! I am so glad tomorrow is Friday!

Quiet Monday Evening

I am having a quiet Monday evening. My Daughter was here today and we cooked out on the grill in despite on the thunder storm and rain. The storm past quickly and we have a cover on our deck so the grill did not get wet. We grilled chicken and ribs, tried to do corn on the cob and asparagus. Cece was so excited to see Kendra that of course tinkled. I was afraid she would forget who she was but I was wrong. The cats are happy again now that the invader has gone. I miss Cece even though she kept me very busy. Puppies have a lot of energy. I have a few pictures to post of Cece. I could not get her to be still long enough to get a real good picture. My daughter was able to take a good one of her sleeping in her lap today.

Fur Baby Sitting

I have spent the weekend fur baby sitting. My daughter went to Raleigh this weekend and I am baby sitting her puppy . She has a lot of energy. I am just a little worried about her right now because she went in her travel cage and she's just sitting in the cage looking a little sad. She has spent most of her time here playing and running around so maybe she's just tired. So no knitting or crochet in the past week. I think I knit a few rows on my sock on last Sunday. I finished reading Left Over Dead, by Jimmie Ruth Evans. I have read all of the books so far in the series. My container tomato's are progressing and I am thinking of doing a few late plantings in a kiddie pool. It is something my supervisor read about on the internet and told us about last Thursday. What she told us was you get a plastic kiddie pool put a hole in it for drainage, add mulch, potting soil, and top soil. Then add your plants. My Lilies are in bloom.
